PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.      Detect errors on printed sheet, help Printers clean up, rack product, and move jobs to different departments.
2.      Understand core vision and values of the company. Incorporate into all aspects of areas of responsibility.
3.      Communication with Printers regarding print problems, before, during, and after the run.
4.      Review job packets and information contained therein with the Printing Supervisor and/or Printers.
5.      Quality Inspection learning how to identify the different problems in a printed decal, such as: dirt, smearing, registration, pinholes, and coverage, learning the difference between surface and subsurface.
6.      Work with experienced quality inspectors and printers to inspect progressively more complex jobs over the course of training, learning how and where to mark unacceptable parts.
7.      Assist Printer with taping out screens, keep presses supplied with necessary supplies, fill solvent bottles, empty trash and rag containers, and getting ink from ink room, clean up, review safety procedures, proper racking and proper placement of jobs on carts.
8.      Learn precautions to take with different types of materials.
9.      Train other Quality Inspectors.
10.  Working with 4 color process and tight register jobs.
11. May perform other duties as assigned by the Printing Supervisor.  
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
1.      Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
2.      Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. May be required to work overtime.
3.      Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.
4.       Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods, i.e.; measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.
5.       Strong attention to detail.
6.       Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
7.       Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
8.       Ability to manage projects and time effectively.
9.       Ability to give, receive and analyze information.
10.   Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
11.   Ability to use hands for 100% of work time; and reach above shoulders for 25% of work time.
12.   Ability to stand and walk for 75% of work time; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 25% of work time.
13.   Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or less 30% of time, up to 50 pounds or less 15% of work time and up to 75 pounds or less 15% of work time.
14.   Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less, or 20 feet or more and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
15.   May lift up to 100 pounds.  
 
WORKING CONDITION
1.      Work near moving mechanical parts.
2.      Work with a variety of chemicals.
3.      Nearly constant exposure to vibrations, noise and chemical odors
