Shift: 1st (5:00am – 3:30pm; or, 5:30am –
4:00pm), Five 10 Hour days
General Physical requirements include:
· Ability to stand and walk in approximately a 200 ft. radius for 8-10
hours/day
· Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50-80lbs
· Ability to use correct body posture
· Ability to maintain correct
postures while reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling and twisting
·
Ability to reach horizontally across a work surface beyond 12” from the
body up to full body extension
Other Requirements:
· High school graduate or equivalent
· Mechanical Aptitude
· Blueprint Reading
· Forklift experience preferred
Candidate may work in various departments (Assemblers, Letter Fabricator, CAM Helper, or Trim Cap/Retainer):
Assemblers:
Assemblers are responsible
for the gathering and assembly of job components, including wiring, into the
finished product. Then the finished
product and all attachments are prepared for crating or packing in boxes.
Letter Fabricator:
Letter fabricators fabricate metals and other products
into the shapes of letters, retainers, trim cap and other products. From aluminum coiled stock, letters are
formed into the shape of an alphabet letter.
Sides are joined to the letter back with staples or by spot
welding. Internal bracing is added to
large letters.
CAM Helper:
CAM (Computer Automated
Machine) helper will work closely with the CAM Operator, organizing, setting up
jobs and performing secondary operations. Loading the CAM and operating the CAM routers to cut metal and plastic pieces for sign
building. The CAM Helper will also
operate a forklift to move material.
Trim Cap/Retainer:
As part of the fabrication process, Trim Cappers glue
metal trim, edging and/or retainers to plastic sign faces of fabricated letters
and shapes
Retainer: Shape, form and fabricate metal face retainer
for channel letters, and operate pneumatic air tools.
