Production Line Lead

Essential Functions:
  • Read and understand instructions provided on a production ticket and/or online job spec pack.
  • Give directions/instructions to production workers as to their assigned tasks and how to successfully complete the task.
  • Complete an accurate production ticket with time-sheet detailing hours worked on the job, quantity of product produced, and quality checks, etc.
  • Minimizes excess material on floor; ensure proper stock and availability of operation supplies and equipment.
  • Verifies that only accurate parts and documentation is available on the line.
  • Motivates and challenges all line members to perform to their full potential through direct and timely feedback.
  • Notifies Production Supervisor immediately regarding any employee problems, concerns and/or recommendations.
  • Correctly logs production data into computer system to track productivity.
  • Attends and participates in regular Line Leader meetings.
  • Follows all ISO, OSHA, AIB and GMP requirements, implements changes as required.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others
  • Must have strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work with all different levels of people.Must be a self-starter.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and perform basic math skills

  • A high school diploma/GED
  • 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment minimally
