CNC Setup Operator
Starting Salary Range:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:     
1.  Sets up and operates one or more assigned multi-axis CNC machines to produce component parts in accordance with engineering drawings, internal sketches or other specifications provided by Engineering.  
2.       Keeps machines in proper operating condition, oils machines and separates parts from chips.  
3.       Checks parts regularly to ensure tolerances are to print specifications.  
4.       Makes adjustment to machines. Notifies supervisor when adjustments are required or of any unusual conditions.  
5.        Performs other duties as assigned.    
 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum three years of experience as CNC machinist, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to read and understand CNC programming utilizing Fanuc controls. Ability to read measuring instruments and blueprints.  Must be mechanically inclined and detail oriented. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisor. Must be able to work and meet goals in a fast-paced production environment.  
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle and feel objects; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is required to stand and walk for the complete shift. Moderate physical effort is required to load machines with bar stock and move and carry work in process up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  
 
SAFETY Learns and comp lies with all company safety  rules.  Uses appropriate safety equipment at all times, including safety glasses and ear protection. Immediately reports all unsafe conditions to supervisors. Must be familiar with all safety features on equipment, machinery or materials encompassed by job duties.
